Valentine’s Day Fun

On cold and snowy Sunday afternoons, sometimes it’s fun to just stay in. My daughter’s kindergarten class is creating a post office for their valentines to understand the process of how mail is sorted and delivered. We hit the Dollar Tree and bought some valentines and stickers and got to work. It actually took us a while to get them all filled out and sealed, but it was fun!

She is also celebrating her 100th day of school this week and she has to dress up like she is 100 and bring in 100 of something to share. I decided to go with these good old fashioned heart candies. It was actually a fun learning activity because she had to count out 100 of them and then we sounded out all of the loving sayings on the hearts. It was good for math and reading practice. And of course she snuck a bunch of them to eat!
