Wow, what a night! We picked a fabulous Saturday, gathered up the best crew of fun friends, and headed down to E9th and Euclid which is the newest home of Parker’s Downtown in the Kimpton Schofield Hotel for dinner and drinks. Well, we were all blown away with the exciting trip our taste buds discovered!

Let’s start with the bar drink menu, shall we?

This is called Murray Hill. We ordered multiple of this one because it was THAT good! It was similar to a caprese salad, but better! Sweet, salty, spicy black pepper….what’s not to like?

Thyme is Money was the clever name for this yummy cocktail. It reminded me of a Mojito, maybe it’s cousin. As you sipped this one, the fresh smell of the added thyme sprig brightened up your nose and was really refreshing.

If you like Tequilla as much as I do…..order the Pistola! It is spicy, so consider yourself warned, but ignore that, and go for it!

Now…who’s hungry?

This is not your ordinary shrimp cocktail, y’all. Nothing at Parker’s Downtown is! The shrimp was tender and the lemon zest was bursting with flavor.

Under the fresh greens is the most amazing flavor party of pierogis….and I’ve tried a lot of pierogis in my day! Who would’ve thought of putting these potato pillows on an appetizer menu at a young, hip lounge/restaurant in downtown Cleveland? Parker’s Downtown, that’s who!

I could’ve eaten this entire plate of potato-less Parisian Gnocchi. It was satisfying, yet not heavy. And plenty to share.

One of the best things about Parker’s Downtown is the staff. The Hostess greeted us with an inviting smile and gladly let us choose our own spot at the beautiful bar. The bar manager, Eric, was very knowledgeable about both the drinks and the main dining menu. He has a passion for what he does and it shows through his warm personality. The rest of the bartenders took their time explaining the drink menu and seemed excited and happy to have us there to try out their menu. They seemed proud to be working at Parker’s Downtown. Their food and cocktail menus have both moved to a fall selection, so it is possible that some of those items mentioned above may not be available currently. No matter, fall at Parker’s Downtown is sure to be fabulous as well!

Whether you are planning a fun happy hour with coworkers, meeting up with out-of-town visitors, or dining with someone special for a lovely dinner….do yourself a favor and visit the crew at the deliciously creative Parker’s Downtown! You can thank me later!
