A new company called ThoughtFull Toys has launched its first toy line, Modarri toy cars. This new company was created by some toy experts and they started a KickStarter campaign to fund this toy line. After securing over 300% of the funds Modarri launched at Toy Fair in February, and now the car line is zooming out to retail stores.

Let me preface this by saying I have seen a lot of toy cars in my life! I have two boys and they love their cars! When Modarri asked me to check out their new 3 pack of Street Car “S1,” Dirt Car “X1” and Track Car “T1,” I thought this was going to be just another typical toy car. NOT the case these little cars are quality! I was most impressed by the suspension on the car. Hard to explain but you just have to feel it for yourself. Each comes with a Hex Tool that allows users to take apart and reconfigure their vehicles.

My boys are 5 and 6 and they both were able to use the Hex tool and change out wheels and parts easily. They were really getting into taking a part the cars and putting them back together. I liked that there are not a lot of small pieces such as screws and such you need to worry about loosing. The parts that adjust stay attached. My younger son Sean was impressed at how fast these cars ride compared to other cars he owns, he was zooming them across the floor. These little cars would make the perfect holiday gift.

Each modular car includes a chassis, hood/windshield, seat pan, seat, fenders and frame, hex tool, four wheels, front suspension and rear suspension. The sleek design, modularity, use of the tool and suspension features make Modarri totally unlike any other toy cars in the market. Modarri is a new kind of miniature car line that’s driven with the fingers using realistic steering and suspension. Design your own unique cars for the best performance and looks by swapping parts from one vehicle to another using the included Hex Tool. Invent new tricks and cool moves! Modarri cars aren’t only for kids (recommended for ages 8 to 108; not for ages 0–3 due to small parts).

Modarri was met with such excitement that Popular Science magazine named it one of the best toys of Toy Fair. The line was a finalist for Best Toys at the American Specialty Toy Retailers Association (ASTRA) convention in Phoenix in June. These honors came months before the vehicles even began to be manufactured!
