Labeley – a Fun and Free Way to Create Super Bowl Party Drink Labels

Super Bowl is one of the biggest sports events of the year, and a perfect occasion to get together with friends, eat delicious food, drink tasty drinks, and hope our favorite team wins.

This year we’re expecting a legendary game between the Patriots and Seahawks. The tension is always high right before the game, and an excellent way to alleviate some of it is to start thinking about fun and original ways to throw a Super Bowl party. We already know how to prepare food in the shape of football gear, but what else can we do to really stand out as party hosts and pleasantly surprise our guests?

Here’s an idea. Since the Super Bowl or any other party can hardly be imagined without beverages, how about personalizing the drinks using Super Bowl themed beer or wine bottle labels? There is a web app called Labeley that lets users create labels online completely free of charge, and it is really easy to use. If you’re game, here’s a short guide on how to create unique and fun labels in only a few minutes.

How to Create Labels with Labeley Software

Go to Labeley.com and choose the type of labels you want to create: beer or wine. Note that the tool also offers kids labels creation, so if you’re throwing a party for kids, by all means check out the kids sticker maker. It has fun background templates and main graphics for the label design, as well as an option to upload any image stored on your computer.

But, let’s go back to our Super Bowl labels creative project. Once you click on your preferred type of drink (for example, beer), you’ll be directed to make the first step: pick your label shape.

You can see here which shape and border we chose. Next, click on the arrow on the right to go to Step #2: choosing label color and background style.

Red seems like a festive color, right? But you can pick any other color you want by clicking on the colorful circle or square. You can then choose among the offered background styles, or even “choose file” from your computer to use it as the background for your label. Here’s an idea for a background image: your favorite football team’s flag/banner.

Click on the arrow on the right to go to your next option: Main Graphics.

Feel free to explore the selection of illustrations, because there are some really neat ones. You can also ignore this step, because very soon you’ll be given a chance to upload any photo you want from your computer for your main label image.

Next, you can choose among ribbons and banners that are usually used for text. This step is optional.

You can always go back a few steps using the arrow on the left to delete some of the elements. For example, if you go back to the Main Graphics, you can choose the “no graphics” field and your chosen illustration will disappear.

In the final steps we’re choosing text and a personalized photo.

This step requires some creativity and playing around. When you enter text, you can choose its font, size, color, outline, effects, as well as text shape. As you can see, the text is inverted here.

You can also choose and upload a photo, then crop it to your desired size. If Tom Brady isn’t your cup of tea, there are plenty of other star players to choose from. Or maybe some of your friends deserve to be on the label much more than some star quarterback!

Have fun playing with this free label designer tool, and have a blast on Super Bowl Sunday!
