Last Friday a few of us went to check out Zack Bruell’s reincarnation of Cleveland’s historic jewelry store, Cowell & Hubbard. It is right next to Playhouse Square. It was pretty cool because our table of six got seated in the bank vault room. It was absolutely amazing!

To start with you have to check out the drink menu. Some amazing martinis. The service at Cowell & Hubbard was unbelievable too. We must of had 8 people waiting on us. Very attentive wait staff. For a rowdy table of 6 hidden in the back bank vault I was impressed.

For appetizers we all split the Chicken Wings, Seafood Dumplings and the Goat Cheese Ravioli. Everything was delicious.

For my entree I had the Truffled Chicken Breast. I can honestly say I think this was my first time ordering chicken at a restaurant. I am usually more inclined to order fish or steak, but something kept drawing me to this. It was a truffled chicken breast with lima beans and roasted broccoli. Like the rest of the meal. Delicious.

I don’t claim to be a restaurant critic, I just know what I like and this was one of the best meals I have had in awhile. If you are in the Cleveland area I highly recommend Cowell & Hubbard. Great atmosphere, great service and most importantly great food!
