Beauty Counter Product Obsession

Like many women I have a small obsession with beauty products.  Whether it be skin care, hair care, makeup… you name it!  Recently, my husband surprised me, and our daughter,  with several items he purchased by Beauty Counter. He knows that I don’t always like to test things directly on my face for the first time, so he went with Lip Gloss, Hand Cream, Body Butter, an amazing scrub, Citrus Mimosa body wash…and lastly Enfants body wash, shampoo & conditioner for our little girl. Geez…is that all?!  I am so OBSESSED with these I had to share them with you!

First off, I want to talk about the Enfants line!  It is out of this world!  My daughter has a lot of fine hair with tight little curls.  Washing and brushing brings on the tears and using the spray leave-in conditioners just add more goop to her hair. This shampoo (tear free) and conditioner have been a game changer! It smells so soft and clean, no overwhelming perfume smells AND IT WORKS! Her hair is soft, easier to brush and her curls are unharmed.  The body wash is also gentle and non-irriating for her sweet baby girl skin.

Secondly, I LOVE my products!  I am so thrilled that my hubby came across these! The lotions are not tacky, yet very hydrating.  The sugar scrub does an amazing job without making my skin irritated (and it smells so clean like citrus).  The body wash is also refreshing and moisturizing.  The scent of the body wash honestly is amazing its second to a cup of coffee the morning…the smell you need to start your day!

To be honest, I have not used any other Lip Gloss than my 4 pack starter that was given to me! It doesn’t get goopey, or make my lips sticky.  I love the color choices too!

Here is a little back story on Beauty Counter from sales representative Erica Murphy.

“My name is Erica and I joined Beautycounter over a year ago. I didn’t know what I didn’t know. When I found out there were such toxic chemicals in my everyday personal care products, I nearly flipped out. It scared me. I try to take good care of myself, I workout regularly and I eat mostly clean foods. If I care what I put in my body, I should care what I put on my body too. I decided to get involved. Beautycounter’s mission spoke to me and I wanted to be a part of a company on a mission to make change. There is little to no regulation in the US for personal care products, the last law was passed in 1938, over 80 years ago. There are currently only 30 ingredients banned by the FDA from our skincare and makeup products, but the European Union bans 1400 ingredients. Beautycounter bans over 1500 ingredients and have created a never list with chemicals we will never use in our products. What caught my attention at first was the comment regarding most lipsticks containing lead, most body washes containing formaldehyde, and most hair care containing silicones. Not to mention all of the other constituents that we are “french to.” Why not switch over to safer? If there are products out there that don’t lead to cancer and infertility, why not use them over those that do?”

Join me and help us conquer change for once and for all. I can’t do this alone! #SwitchToSafer #BetterBeauty #CleanBeauty #BeautyBoss #ThisTimeItsPersonal #Beautycounter

If I sound a little excited its because I am!  I get so upset when I spend $$ on new products to get home, use them and have them not be at all what was described to me. Hopefully, you will have the chance to try them too!
